To protect against these threats and reduce their negative effects, it is necessary to establish a solid legal culture in the digital field among individuals and workers in various institutions, enabling them to know the most important relevant concepts, tools and techniques used in cyber attacks, or to repel such attacks and take precautionary measures that prevent the attacks from occurring in the first place or reduce their repercussions.
The National Initiative for Digital Safety includes the principles of digital legal culture, explaining its importance and how to establish it among the target audience of the initiative, by ensuring that the audience is well aware of the nature and types of cyber attacks and the damage resulting from them, ways to protect against them, methods of reporting cyber crimes when they occur, and the correct behavior that must be followed in cases of cyber attack or hacking.
The initiative's awareness content also specifically addresses the importance of digital legal literacy in financial cyber attacks, such as those targeting money transfers and online purchases, bank fraud, and financial threats associated with cryptocurrencies, and how individuals and organizations can leverage their cyber legal background to be proactive and avoid these threats.
